Description
Bay Optical Lab first opened its doors in 1970, started by John Flaxel MD, Robert Klever OD, and later joined by Arthur Steele MD. It originally occupied a small office at the corner of Virginia and Mead in North Bend. As both the optical and clinic grew the need for more space was apparent. In 1979 Bay Eye Clinic and Bay Optical Lab moved to their current location at 3585/3587 Broadway in North bend. To date the building has undergone more than three remodels, enlarging the dispensing area and adding the lab. Bay Optical Lab has an extensive selection of designer frames as well as a large line of fashion and sport sunglasses.
